Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov visited the Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS).

Following the training of the swimming club, Minister Farid Gayibov praised the conditions created for sports at BANM and suggested the participation of football and volleyball teams of the High School in the Azerbaijani championship. Elmar Gasimov noted that the table tennis team of the Baku Higher Oil School is also at a high level and they can also participate in the Championship.

Then, a meeting was held with the participation of the Minister with Presidential Scholars studying at the University, chairmen of student youth organizations, leaders of youth clubs. At the meeting, Elmar Gasimov congratulated Farid Gayibov on his appointment as Minister and wished him success in his work. Despite the busy schedule, the rector thanked BANM and the minister for their time, and said he was proud to have his first meeting at BANM and to come here after his appointment.

Elmar Gasimov noted that the Baku Higher Oil School has successfully fulfilled its mission to train highly qualified, English-speaking staff as a clear example of the motto of President Ilham Aliyev "We must turn oil capital into human capital" and will continue to do so with honor.

He noted that the number of students awarded the Presidential Scholarship of the University is growing every year, and this year 33 out of 102 students are students of BANM, which is a record in the history of education in Azerbaijan.

Expressing satisfaction with his visit to the Baku Higher Oil School, Farid Gayibov praised the conditions here and the modern educational process: “I was pleasantly surprised by the conditions created at the Baku Higher Oil School.

It is impossible to see the conditions created for sports here, especially in any university. I am pleased to be in a university with such a higher education system and infrastructure. I am proud of the successful students of BANM. "

During the meeting, which was held in a cordial atmosphere, the Minister answered the students' questions and listened to their views and suggestions. At the end, Farid Gayibov was presented with a plaque "Honorary Guest" of the Baku Higher Oil School and a souvenir.
