Cooperation between BSU and the British Council was discussed

Baku State University (BSU), which has close ties with prestigious scientific and educational institutions around the world and implements dual degree programs with prestigious higher education institutions, continues to expand its international relations. At present, the development of international cooperation is one of the priorities in the development strategy of the University.

A meeting with representatives of the British Council was held at BSU today.

The meeting was attended by BSU Rector Elchin Babayev, British Council Director for Azerbaijan Francis Gardener-Trejo, English Language and Education Manager Nargiz Huseynova and South Caucasus Exam Manager Nargiz Akbarova.
Rector of BSU Elchin Babayev informed the guests about the activities of BSU, the current education and teaching process. Speaking about the international relations of the university, working with various educational and scientific institutions of the world on grants and programs, the rector expressed satisfaction with the mutual exchanges.

Francis Gardener-Trejo, Director of the British Council for Azerbaijan, spoke about the projects implemented in the development of education and their successful results, emphasizing the high level of cooperation between the two institutions and the prospects for further development of these relations.
The sides exchanged views on future opportunities for bilateral cooperation and issues of mutual interest.

The British Council, the world's oldest cultural organization, was founded in 1934. The first offices in foreign countries began to operate in 1938. The organization helps young people gain the range of skills and opportunities they need to realize their potential and operate in strong and inclusive societies. In addition, it encourages people to learn English, receive a high quality education and acquire high quality internationally.
