We present to the readers the biography of the teacher Azer Abbasov, a participant of the Patriotic War.

Azer Mahammadali oglu Abbasov was born on April 15, 1977. He took part in the glorious victory in the Great Patriotic War, taught patriotism on the battlefield and fought shoulder to shoulder with his former students.
In 1983, he went to the first grade in Molla Bayramli village school of Kalbajar region. After the occupation of Kalbajar region in 1993, he continued his secondary education at Challi village secondary school of Zardab region.

In 1995, he entered the faculty of primary military training and physical education of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University. In 1997 he was promoted to lieutenant. After graduating in 1999, he started working as a head of youth pre-service training at secondary school No. 108 in Kalbajar district.

He was called up for military service in 2002. He served as a platoon commander in military unit N. In 2003, he was promoted to senior lieutenant. He was released from the reserve in 2004.

Since 2007, he has been working as a physical education teacher at secondary school No. 312 in the capital.
A father of two, Abbasov served as an officer in the battles of Tartar, Gubadli and Lachin regions during the Patriotic War.

For his bravery in the Great Patriotic War, he was awarded the Medal for the Liberation of Lachin.
For a teacher, the homeland begins in the classroom, Abbasov said, adding that the training of highly physically fit and patriotic young people is the best example of service to the motherland, and he is always proud of his contribution to our victory.
