Lachyn Italmazova, regional director of the famous British magazine Times Higher Education (THE), held a seminar at Baku State University (BSU). Representatives of 15 higher education institutions of the country, Nijat Mammadli, head of the department of science, higher and secondary special education of the Ministry of Education, BSU rector Elchin Babayev, vice-rector for science and innovations Huseyn Mammadov, scientific activity Director of the Center for Organization and Innovations Mais Suleymanov and heads of departments took part.

In her speech, Lachyn Italmazova spoke about the recognition of universities in the ranking of THE, one of the most influential in the world, and the sustainable development of their rankings, and gave her recommendations in this regard. Then he answered the questions of the participants.

The list compiled by the magazine is considered one of the most influential in the world. For the first time among Azerbaijani universities, BSU was included in the list for the year 2022. BSU is ranked 1201+ in the ranking of the world's universities, and 864+ in terms of international reputation.
