On October 15, 2021, an event was held at the Guba branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University in connection with the October 18 Independence Day in accordance with the rules of the pandemic.

The event was attended by representatives of the staff of the branch, prominent Azerbaijani poet Ramiz Gusarchayli, students of the branch. The director of the branch, associate professor Yusif Aliyev joined the event online.

The event was opened by the deputy director of the branch Aysel Sheydayeva, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played, the souls of our martyrs who died for the independence of Azerbaijan were commemorated with a minute of silence. At the event, the deputy director of the branch Aysel Sheydayeva greeted everyone with an introductory speech.

Then, Novruz Karimov, a teacher of the Department of Pedagogical and Social Sciences of the Guba branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, made a report entitled "On the eve of the 30th anniversary of Azerbaijan's independence" and gave detailed information on the occasion of October 18 Independence Day.

Then, Sema Asafova, a second-year student of the branch's "Primary School Teaching" specialty, sang Ramiz Gusarchayli's poem "Azerbaijan Flag", followed by a congratulatory speech by Ramiz Gusarchayli, a prominent Azerbaijani poet and historian with the poem "Azerbaijan Flag". He also spoke about the epic poem "Vatan", which is an example of a thousand-year history of Azerbaijan, and expressed the pride of Azerbaijan's independence today:
Every brave soldier thirsting for revenge,

Then the chairman of the Debate Club of the branch Elvin Shukurov spoke at the event on the topic "Our historic victory - the beginning of the victory was the guarantor of our eternal independence."

Nurtaj Eldarova and Javahir Gojayeva, second-year students majoring in teaching Azerbaijani language and literature, also took part in the event. At the end of the event, Chinara Malikzadeh's "Azerbaijan!" music was played.
