Held events in general education schools of Imishli region on October 18 - Independence Day.

According to Tehsil.biz, the students were informed about the history and significance of the Independence Day.

Speakers said that maintaining independence is much more difficult than gaining it. Twice in a century, Azerbaijan has gained the opportunity to gain independence and create its own sovereign state. Founded in 1918, the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic lasted only 23 months. The second historical opportunity appeared 70 years later. The collapse of the Soviet empire allowed the Azerbaijani people to restore their national independence.
