The guide of the Carpet Museum informed the students that the museum has been operating since April 1998. The museum, which started operating in the 200-year-old Khan Palace in the Khan Dik of the Gala neighborhood, has been moved to a new building on Heydar Aliyev Avenue since 2010. The museum displays 264 pile and non-pile carpets, various handicrafts, embroidery, weaving tools, 60 pieces of copper and pottery.

Then the students at the "Khan's Palace" were informed that the historical and architectural monument of the XVIII century was built in the Eastern architectural style. The palace was the residence of Nakhchivan khan Rahim khan.
