Due to the current situation, there is a need to promote Azerbaijan among the countries of the world, to strengthen the role and activity of Azerbaijani children and youth living abroad in this field.

Initiated and organized by the Republican Children and Youth Development Center of the Ministry of Education, in partnership with the State Committee On Work with the Diaspora of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the 2020-2021 academic year to promote patriotism to Azerbaijani children and youth living in different countries,  offers webinars and virtual lessons, including a network of online clubs, as part of the program "Get to know Azerbaijan" to promote its history, tourism and strengthen working ties with the Diaspora.

The online clubs are planned to conduct virtual lessons in 10 different areas, including "Ethnography", "Ecotourism", "Azerbaijan Culture and History", "National Dances", "National Musical Instruments", "Azerbaijan Cuisine", "Azerbaijan Language" and "Azerbaijani literature", "Crafts" (carpet weaving, composition, knitting, design), "Azerbaijani mugam" in order to increase information about Azerbaijan in the proposed projects "Get to know Azerbaijan".

According to a specially developed program to involve foreign children and youth in online lessons in these areas, the virtual lessons will be conducted by professional trainers, including well-known teachers of the republic.

Due to the time difference between Baku and other countries, virtual lessons in clubs will be held for 1 hour in 2 shifts at the same time, once or twice a week.

Virtual lessons are planned for 7-11, 12-16 age categories. Virtual classes will be held in Azerbaijani and, alternatively, in Russian (starting this year) and English (provided).

Information about virtual lessons in clubs:

"Ethnography"
Young ethnographers will explore the nature, history, economy and life of their native lands through virtual excursions and travels.

“Ecotourism”
Participants will get acquainted with the history, nature and culture of our country during virtual trips and excursions to Azerbaijani museums, national parks and reserves.

"Culture of Azerbaijan"
The history of Azerbaijan consists not only of history and events, but also of cultural achievements. It is intended to teach knowledge about the features and achievements, the importance of its spiritual and moral development of culture in different periods of the history of our country, Online classes will organize a trip to the unique world of Azerbaijani culture.

“National dances”
An acquaintance with Azerbaijani national dances with amazing content and design, different content, mastership and elegance will take place. Virtual lessons teach the proper protection of this cultural heritage, the promotion of the great importance of the art of dance in the history and culture of the country and its transmission from generation to generation. National dance groups will be divided into boys and girls.

"National musical instruments" (nagara, tar, saz, balaban)
The national musical instruments of our people are rich and diverse. In the virtual lessons we will develop a sense of rhythm and ear for music, memory and attention, immersed in the magical world of our national musical instruments. There will be master classes on nagara, tar, saz and balaban in groups. An international national virtual ensemble will be created as part of the online classes.

"Azerbaijani cuisine"
First of all, the national cuisine of Azerbaijan is rich in ancient, varied and delicious dishes. This is not only a way of cooking, but also one of the main parts of material culture. In online classes, the chef will tell us the history of dishes, the secrets of its preparation and design.

"Azerbaijani language"
The vocabulary of the participants has been expanded; conditions have been created for learning to correctly and beautifully express their thoughts in their native language.

"Azerbaijan literature, theater"
Figurative thinking, artistic taste, the concept of literature are developing on the example of works of Azerbaijani literature and theater. The development of stage and speech culture, the development of artistic thinking, acting, sound art, self-presentation, the formation of self-confidence, work and performance on the play, visiting a virtual Azerbaijani theater, improvisation.

"Craftsmanship" (carpet weaving, knitting, design)
Products of traditional applied art of Azerbaijan embody the mentality, lifestyle, traditions and aesthetic views of the people. Together they will explore the main areas of applied art and the meaning of jewelry. Visiting famous art workshops of Azerbaijan.

"Azerbaijani mugam"
Mugam is a complex musical genre filled with ideas, emotional meaning, expressing deep thinking, artistic passion and the development of various musical images. The participants of the virtual lesson are told about the monumental, serial forms of mugams, as well as about the variety of melody in the expression of expressive possibilities.
