A scientific seminar on "Information provision of the Kars Agreement" was held at the Faculty of Librarianship and Information of Baku State University (BSU) with the participation of faculty, doctoral students and masters. Opening the scientific seminar, Director of the Center for Organization of Scientific Activities and Innovations of BSU Mais Suleymanov said that today the University is taking important steps to update the content of research work. Analysis of the work done in this direction, reforms and development strategy of the University gives grounds to say that in the near future BSU will take a leading place in the list of international rating agencies for the level of education, the content of scientific research and become a prestigious research university. Nadir Ismayilov, Head of the Department of Bibliography, made a report on "Information provision of the Kars Agreement" at the scientific seminar. The rapporteur first spoke about the history of the 100-year-old Kars agreement, the political landscape and conditions of that period. He stressed the importance of the historical document in ensuring the security of the Nakhchivan region and keeping it within Azerbaijan. Noting that National Leader Heydar Aliyev highly valued the Kars agreement, the researcher noted the wise leader's opinion: “As Nakhchivan is separated from the main land of Azerbaijan, the Kars agreement is too big and irreplaceable for us to ensure the integrity, security, statehood and autonomy of Nakhchivan in the future. is a document. "

The researcher also spoke about the historic Shusha Declaration signed by President Ilham Aliyev and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on May 15, 2021 in Shusha after the historic victory of Azerbaijan in the 44-day war, emphasizing the importance of the document. .

The report also provides a comprehensive analysis of the formation, development and current state of the flow of documents and information on the Kars Agreement in our country and abroad, and puts forward innovative proposals on ways to improve the information provision of the subject. At the same time, parallels were made between the Kars Agreement and the Shusha Declaration, and new ideas were presented to the scientific community.

Numerous questions were addressed to the rapporteur and discussions were held around the report. Professor Mais Suleymanov, Professor Khalil Ismayilov, heads of departments Elchin Ahmadov, Knyaz Aslan, associate professors Parviz Kazimi, Solmaz Sadigov and others expressed their views on the topic.
