Dean of the Faculty of Theology of the Azerbaijan Theological Institute (ATI), Associate Professor Elnura Azizova participated in the IX International Congress of Turkology in Turkestan, Kazakhstan, organized by Ahmad Yesavi University.

According to E.Azizova, a lecturer on "The concept of the Ahl al-Bayt in the Turkish concept of Islam in the context of cultural sustainability: an assessment within the Turkic-speaking Maktali-Hussein", love and respect for the Prophet and his family played an important role in the Islamization of Turkic peoples. He said that regardless of the political structure, religion and historical connotation of the Muslim states established by the Turkic peoples from Central Asia to North Africa throughout history, this love and respect, along with other historical and literary texts, was the main reason for the spread of Maktali-Hussein.
