Rector of Baku Engineering University (BMU), Professor Havar Mammadov was awarded the "Jubilee Badge" for his services to the trade union movement in connection with the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Free Trade Union of Educators (ATIAHI).
According to Tehsil.biz, the rector was awarded this prize by the decision of the Presidium of the Republican Committee of ATIAHI.
The award was presented to Havar Mammadova at a meeting with Mirza Jafarzadeh, Deputy Chairman of the Republican Committee of ATIAH.
M.Jafarzadeh spoke about the activities of the Trade Union and noted that his organization plays an important role in protecting the labor and social rights of workers in the field of education, the effective conduct of their leisure time, the organization of recreation. Emphasizing that he is one of the most active members of the Trade Union Committee of BMU, Jafarzadeh thanked Rector Havar Mammadov for his support of the organization's activities.
In turn, Havar Mammadov thanked the leadership of the Trade Union for the trust and attention shown to him. Giving detailed information about the university, Havar Mammadov also touched upon the active work of the BMU Trade Union Committee and the Student Trade Union Committee (STUC). Speaking about the historical path of trade unions in Azerbaijan, the rector expressed confidence that cooperation between BMU and the Republican Committee of ATIAHI will be further developed in the future.
