An online seminar on "Halal food industry in the revival and development of the Karabakh economy: modern challenges and prospects" was organized by the Department of Coordination and Organization of Research Centers at UNEC and the UNEC Islamic Financial Center.
Opening the seminar, Professor Zahid Mammadov, Head of the UNEC Islamic Financial Center, drew attention to the urgency of the Islamic economy for our country today, noting that the main driving force of the Islamic economy in Karabakh is the halal food industry.
Ruslan Atakishiyev, Chairman of the Public Association for the Study of Economic Resources (SER), made a presentation on "Prospects for the establishment of halal food enterprises in the Karabakh economic region." .
Then the researcher of the UNEC Islamic Financial Center Afgan Musayev made a report on "Prospects for the attractiveness of export-oriented investment based on Islamic finance in the revival of the Karabakh economy." He spoke about the role of the local population in the liberated territories in attracting additional investment in the economy.
Professor of Kabardino-Balkaria State Agrarian University Amina Jaboeva, senior researcher of the Department of Globalization and International Economics of the Institute of Economics of ANAS Tabriz Yadigarov, editor-in-chief of the Economic newspaper Ayten Samadzade spoke at the seminar.
At the end, Rena Huseynova, Head of the Department for Coordination and Organization of UNEC Research Centers, thanked the speakers for the proposals voiced at the event and said that such events will be organized on an ongoing basis.
