A memorial service was held in Alpout village of Ujar region on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the martyr of the Great Patriotic War, sergeant of the Special Forces, intelligence officer Karim Mahammadali oglu Aliyev. The ceremony was held at the grave of the martyr with the participation of the district administration, the families of the martyrs and villagers.

According to Tehsil.biz, the participants of the ceremony laid flowers at the grave of the brave son of the Fatherland, paid tribute to his memory and prayed for his soul.

The speeches spoke about Karim, who lived only 23 years and sacrificed his life in the battles for the liberation of our lands, emphasizing that he was a patriotic and courageous young man. It was noted that under the leadership of President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the occupying Armenian armed forces were brought to their knees in 44 days, our historical lands were returned, and the blood of Karim and his martyrs remained.

Poems dedicated to the Motherland and our martyrs were performed by schoolchildren at the ceremony, and a literary-artistic composition was demonstrated.

It should be noted that the martyr Karim Mahammadali oglu Aliyev was born on August 23, 1998 in Alpout village of Ujar. He completed his secondary education in 2015. After active military service, he returned to the army in 2018 as an overtime serviceman. In 2019, he successfully completed the training course of the KGB and continued his service as a scout. He was killed in the battle for Fizuli in the Great Patriotic War on October 19, 2020, and was buried on October 24 in his native village, where he grew up.

After his death, he was awarded the medals "For the Motherland", "For the release of Jabrayil", "For the release of Khojavend" and "For the release of Fuzuli".
