An event dedicated to the anniversary of the liberation of Gubadli region was held at the initiative of the Student Youth Organization (SYO) of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics of Baku State University (BSU).

Speaking at the event, Roya Abbasova, chairwoman of the TGT of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics, spoke about the history of Gubadli region, the fierce battles for the liberation of Gubadli in the Great Patriotic War. He also noted that the Gubadli operation resulted in the destruction of a large number of Armenian troops and equipment, as well as the psychological destruction of the Armenian army.

Then the speakers - Togrul Malikzadeh and Afsana Agasiyeva, Deputy Chairmen of the Student Youth Organization of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics, Fidan Abbaszadeh and Laman Hajiyeva, first-year students, said that the destruction of historical and cultural monuments noted.

The event ended with a video showing the visit of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the liberated Gubadli region.
