Activists of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) met with graduates and student veterans.
The event commemorated the memory of the sons of the Fatherland who gave their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan with a minute of silence, Tehsil.biz reports.
Then the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was sounded.
At the opening of the event, Mikayil Zeynalov, chairman of the first territorial organization of the YAP Sabail district UNEC, vice-rector for economic affairs, analyzed the 90s of the last century and spoke about the unparalleled services of great leader Heydar Aliyev in solving fateful issues for our country and people. The Vice-Rector said that President Ilham Aliyev continued the work carried out by the Great Leader to preserve and strengthen our independence, and under his leadership great progress had been made in the political, economic, social and military spheres.
Noting that the occupation was ended and our territorial integrity was restored as a result of the glorious victory of the Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev in the 44-day war, the vice-rector said that our people demonstrated to the world that Azerbaijan's independence is eternal and irreversible.
UNEC veteran students and graduates Agaali Guliyev, Elvin Guliyev, Imran Mammadov, Kamran Ibrahimli, Mirhasan Dadashov shared their memories of the war and spoke about the state's support for veterans.
In her speech, UNEC Vice-Rector for Student Affairs Saadat Gandilova spoke about the invaluable joy and pride of our people in the victory of our glorious Army under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief in the 44-day war, the heroism of our martyrs and veterans. He noted that those who experienced this victory will always be our place of pride.
The veterans then presented membership cards to students who are new members of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP).
