The State Migration Service of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic together with Nakhchivan State University has organized another educational event for foreign students on the "Legal Status of Foreigners".
Speaking at the event, Vice-Rector of Nakhchivan State University Khayal Jamalov and Deputy Chief of the State Migration Service Elnur Mammadov spoke about the achievements in the autonomous republic in all areas, including education. It was noted that the measures taken in the autonomous republic to bring education in line with modern standards, strengthen and rebuild the material and technical base, as well as ensure security and socio-political stability, protect human rights and freedoms will increase the interest of foreign students in the autonomous republic. also promotes growth.
Chief of the State Migration Service Kanan Mammadov gave detailed information on the procedure for issuing temporary residence permits to foreign students. He noted that the State Migration Service, which prioritizes the application of innovative methods in the management and regulation of migration processes, as well as ensuring the principles of transparency, has become a legal provider of foreigners by building its activities at the level of modern requirements.
It was noted that today, foreigners who come to the autonomous republic to study, also have the right to live in the country. At the same time, discounts are applied for students when paying the state fee for the issuance and extension of temporary residence permits in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Such determination of the state duty is another indicator and example of the humanistic nature shown to foreign students in our country.
Employee of the service Tural Bayramov touched upon the points provided by the legislation for violation of the rules of stay and residence of foreigners in the territory of the autonomous republic, and gave detailed information to the participants of the event through a slide.
Roshat Kochkaya, a second-year student of the University's Medical Faculty, spoke about the opportunities created for them in the autonomous republic and the importance of such awareness-raising events, and thanked the State Migration Service on behalf of foreign students for their assistance in the documentation process and any difficulties in migration.
Then a group of foreign students were issued temporary residence permits. Students were also provided with booklets prepared by the service.
The questions were answered in detail at the event, which was held in the atmosphere of mutual discussion, and relevant appeals were received by the employees of the service.
