In connection with the 880th anniversary of Nizami Ganjavi in ​​accordance with the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on declaring 2021 the "Year of Nizami Ganjavi" in the Republic of Azerbaijan and the action plan of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Republican scientific conference was held.

The conference was opened by the rector of the university, Professor Natig Ibrahimov, Tehsil.biz reports. He said that Nizami Ganjavi's anniversaries have always been celebrated in our country.

National leader Heydar Aliyev, who always approached the classical literary and cultural heritage of Azerbaijan from the standpoint of national prejudice and patriotism, also paid special attention to Nizami's legacy. The university official emphasized that the 840th anniversary celebrations of the master poet, held in 1981 with the direct initiative and participation of Heydar Aliyev, became a significant event in the cultural life of our country.
