Employees of the Azerbaijan University of Languages ​​took part in the commemoration ceremony of Azim Hasanov, a martyred student of the Faculty of Education 1, held in Mingachevir.

According to the instructions of the rector of the Azerbaijan University of Languages, academician Kamal Abdulla, the university staff - Assistant Rector, Doctor of Philosophy Anar Osmanli, Dean of the Faculty of Education 1, Professor Fikret Jahangirov, Dean of the Faculty of Education 2, Associate Professor Salman Nuriyev, Head of the Department of Pedagogy, Associate Professor Nigar Zeynalova and Head of the Department of Foreign Language Teaching Methods, Associate Professor Gunay Shiraliyeva attended the commemoration ceremony of the martyred student of the 1st Faculty of Education Azim Hasanov in Mingachevir.

Employees visited the tomb of the martyr in the Alley of Martyrs in Mingachevir and prayed for his soul. Lets` noted that, Azim Fikrat oglu Hasanov was born on June 13, 1998 in Kortala village of Balakan region. Azim Hasanov is originally from Karabakh. His father Fikret Hasanov was born in Khidirli village of Aghdam region. After the occupation of Karabakh, Azim's family temporarily settled in Mingachevir. His mother Shahla Hasanova is from Kortala village of Balakan region. Azim Hasanov studied until the 3rd grade at Aghdam secondary school No. 52 in Mingachevir, and then at Mingachevir secondary school No. 19. As a well-mannered, responsible, intelligent and honest student, he won the sympathy of both teachers and students at school.

Azim Hasanov, who graduated from high school with honors, was admitted to the Faculty of Education of the Azerbaijan University of Languages ​​in 2015 with a degree in English Language Teaching. During his student years, in addition to developing his scientific knowledge, he was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation as a member of the Patriots Department. The faculty and students of the faculty always remember him with kind words.

Azim Hasanov went to active military service in 2019. While he was in the military, the Second Karabakh War (Patriotic War) began. Azim served in the "attack battalion" and fought bravely in the battles for Jabrayil, Hadrut, Khojavend and Fizuli. The commander of the battalion said about him: “Azim ate the heart of a lion. He was a very brave and fearless soldier. " Azim Hasanov last called his friend on September 27, 2020 and said: "We are leaving." His friend asks, "Where?" Azim says: “Wherever we had to go in 30 years, there! He said that we go to war laughing and rejoicing, and our enthusiasm increases when we take every inch of our land. Azim Hasanov was heroically martyred in the battles in Ashagi Seyidahmedli village of Fizuli and was buried on October 30, 2020 in the "Alley of Martyrs" in Mingachevir.

By the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, Azim Fikret oglu Hasanov was awarded the medals "For the Motherland", "For the Liberation of Fuzuli" and "Brave Warrior" for his services to the motherland.
