Ashur Museyib oglu Aliyev, associate professor of the Department of Library Resources and Information Search Systems of the Faculty of Librarianship and Information of Baku State University (BSU), has died.

From 1965 to 1969 he studied at the Faculty of Librarianship of BSU. Ashur Aliyev, who died at the age of 75, began his pedagogical activity at BSU in 1978. In 1991 he defended his dissertation on "History and modern state of library work in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (1920-1985)."

For a long time he worked as a deputy dean of the faculty. Since 1992, he has been an associate professor at the Department of Library Resources and Information Search Systems.

He has participated in many international and national scientific conferences in different years.
