The project, implemented in partnership with the Support to Modern Youth Development Public Union, will involve teachers from the Azerbaijan Young Teachers Association and young ambassadors for Sustainable Development as mentors.

The founder of the "Azerbaijani Women in Science" organization is Gunel Aghabeyli, who received a doctorate from the University of Edinburgh within the "State Program for the Education of Azerbaijani Youth Abroad in 2007-2015."

He informed "Azerbaijan Muallimi" about the goals and objectives of the project.

- The project will consist of two stages. The main goal of the first stage is to create interest in science and education by organizing various training sessions for schoolgirls aged 13-18 in four selected regions - Bilasuvar, Masalli, Lankaran and Lerik. to support them, to educate them about the importance of education in their future lives. The parents of the girls will also be involved in the enlightenment process. The second phase of the project will cover the whole country and will be implemented online.

Schoolgirls who want to participate in the second stage "Who do I want to be?" must participate in the project by writing an essay on. At least 200 schoolgirls and 200 parents are expected to benefit from the trainings and activities to be organized within the project in the first phase, and 100 schoolgirls in the second phase.

At least 10 community groups in the regions will be involved in the project, and 20 active schoolgirls will be selected from among the project participants to act as regional representatives of Azerbaijan Women in Science. Later, with the support of local communities, the sustainability of the initiative will be achieved through the organization of various trainings, thus expanding the scope of the project. In total, the project is planned to cover 2,000 people.

The international initiative aims to strengthen equal rights and opportunities for women and men by working to eliminate stereotypes about the roles of men and women in the family and society, and gender-based violence. The program is implemented at the regional level in six countries - Georgia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Belarus, Ukraine and Armenia. The project is expected to last until the end of February next year.
