Professor of Azerbaijan University Asif Hajiyev has published new textbooks for students of higher education institutions of the Russian Federation.

“Russian prose at the turn of the XX and XXI centuries. The main directions and currents ”(Русская проза рубежа ХХ и ХХИ веков. Основные направления и течения). , mass and network literature, modernism and postmodernism, as well as the Azerbaijani context of Russian postmodernism, postintellectualism, "women's prose" and other trends were studied. Turkish style was considered. The textbook includes step-by-step guidelines for teachers of the course, plans of lectures and practical lessons.

The second book is dedicated to the creation of mythopoetic prose, an important event in the literary process of the Russian and post-Soviet peoples. "Russian prose of the second half of the twentieth century. Problems of mythopoetics ”(Русская проза второй половины ХХ века. Вопросы мифопоэтики). The first chapter of the textbook explains the methodological problems of mythopoetic analysis, the second chapter provides a relevant interpretation of theoretical issues - the concepts of author, image, composition, plot, chronotope and genre. The third chapter of the textbook, devoted to poetic issues, contains elements of myth-folklore in the works of prominent Russian writers such as BMShukshin, VI Belov, VPAstafyev, VGRasputin, YVTrifonov, FAAbramov, VFTendryakov, VSMakanin, AAKim, VVOrlov. The role of traditional semantic universals and plot invariants is studied, and on the basis of mythopoetic interpretation the semantic interpretation of the works of these writers is different from the traditional sociological approach. Each section of this chapter includes creative questions and a bibliography for reflection and discussion.

For the first time in the experience of Russian higher education and philological research, the textbook includes sections on the Azerbaijani context of modern Russian literature and the teaching of Azerbaijani schools in accordance with the national mentality and modern socio-cultural environment. At the same time, for the first time in a large special section of the resource, the existence and artistic originality of the original "Turkish style" in modern Russian prose was established based on the analysis of specific works of Russian-speaking writers of Turkish origin.

According to the publisher's annotations, both books were written in accordance with the requirements of the Russian Federal State Education Standards for Higher Education and are intended for bachelors and masters studying in "Philology". The textbooks were published at the initiative and at the expense of the publishing house "Higher Education" (Вузовское образование), which specializes in the publication of educational resources for higher education institutions of the Russian Federation. Earlier, Professor Asif Hajiyev published three textbooks and two monographs on Russian literature in Russia, Germany, Turkey and Iran.
