As reported, Baku State University (BSU) is holding elections to fill the vacancies of deans and heads of departments in the relevant faculties and a number of departments.

The elections are held in accordance with the "Rules for holding the positions of head of department, dean and deputy dean in higher education institutions" approved by the Decision No. 5/5 of the Board of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated November 15, 2017, Tehsil.biz reports. .

According to the announcement made in the November 30 issue of the "People's Newspaper", the elections for the expired dean positions in 8 faculties have already ended. According to the results of the elections, Mamoy Mansurov - Faculty of Geology, Alamdar Bayramov - Faculty of Librarianship and Information, Rovshan Javadov - Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology, Afet Mammadova - Faculty of Biology, Ziyatkhan Aliyev - Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Ibrahim Zeynalov - Faculty of History, Bakhtiyar Palayev Elchin Mammadov was elected Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Faculty of Philology.
