Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) hosted an event entitled "Novruz - dear holiday of the people" dedicated to Novruz holiday.

The event was attended by the rector of AzTU Vilayat Valiyev, chairman of the Yasamal district branch of the New Azerbaijan Party Bakhtiyar Nabiyev, president of the Azerbaijan Internet Forum Osman Gunduz, vice-rectors, teachers and students of the university. First, the stands prepared by faculties and student organizations on the occasion of Novruz holiday were inspected in the lobby of the university.

Speaking at the event, Rector Vilayat Valiyev congratulated on the occasion of Earth Wednesday and Novruz holiday. He said that Novruz, the embodiment of abundance and prosperity, is a dear holiday that has a special place in the preservation of our culture and traditions. The rector said that this holiday demonstrates that we are connected to our historical past by unshakable wires. Our people are preparing for the holiday a month in advance. It is a matter of pride that Novruz holiday is already celebrated in Shusha and on the Cidir plain.

Later, students who were active in the social life of the university were awarded honorary diplomas.

Dada Gorgud's blessing and Bahar's holiday congratulations added a special color to the event.

The characters of Novruz are bald and the funny stories of Kosa were also applauded. Composer and folk songs performed by Honored Artist Ruza Ibishova and winner of the VII Mugam Competition Ravan Gachayev were performed at the event.

Kanan Alguliyev and Ismayil Khalilov, students of the Faculty of Information and Telecommunication Technologies, Ragsana Bagirli, a student of the Faculty of Special Engineering and Technology, Ali Aliyev, a student of the Faculty of Economics and Management, Murad Karimli, a student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Robotics and the head of the AzTU The dances presented by the dance group of students were greeted with applause.

The festive event continued with the performance of the ensemble of folk instruments consisting of students of AzTU and the Azerbaijan National Conservatory.
