The opening ceremony of the STEAM Center was held on June 28 at the secondary school No. 9 named after D. Nagiyev in Mingachevir.

The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev, head of the Central Aran Regional Education Department Elchin Karimov and other guests.

The guests got acquainted with the conditions created for students at the Center.

It was noted that the Center is the 14th STEAM Center in the country.
To date, the STEAM project has been implemented in Mingachevir Technical Humanitarian Lyceum named after R.Muradov, secondary school No. 7, Natural-Mathematical and Humanitarian Sciences Lyceum. A total of 21 teachers in Mingachevir have been trained. The project covers 575 students.

It should be noted that STEAM Centers are being established in various regions of the country to ensure the accessibility of the STEAM project to everyone, as well as the implementation of extracurricular activities for students with special knowledge and skills, preparation for world-class competitions, contests and Olympics.
