A new department and institute was established at Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU).

The decision on this was taken at the last meeting of the Scientific Council for the academic year 2021/2022.

The results of the summer exam session and the activities of the university in the academic year were reported at the meeting. Also, discussions were held regarding prospective development for the next semester and appropriate decisions were made.

At the meeting, it was decided to improve the structure of AzTU's ICT-oriented chairs and to create a new Cyber Security chair, taking into account the state's priorities for cyber security and information security.

It was decided to establish the Institute of Foreign Language Technologies in AzTU in order to organize foreign language training and help teaching foreign language skills according to modern standards.
