A few days ago, the torture of children with physical disabilities in the "Mehnur" speech therapy and psychological rehabilitation center located in the Nizami district of the capital caused serious resonance in the country.

After the incident became public, the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted an appropriate investigation, Aytac Kazimli, the center's psychologist, and Sabina Aliyarbeyli, the center's assistant director, were involved in the investigation. A criminal case was initiated against them under Article 133 (torture) of the Criminal Code.

After the known incident, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children's Problems took action.

According to the information obtained by Modern.az, the State Committee is preparing to take serious steps to prevent the unpleasant incident that happened in the center from being repeated in other institutions.

Thus, the State Committee on Family, Women and Children's Problems addressed to the Cabinet of Ministers for monitoring in kindergartens, nurseries and rehabilitation institutions. If appropriate permits are secured, the committee will begin monitoring.
