The first test flight of the Ingenuity helicopter to Mars will not take place earlier than Sunday.

The statement came from the press service of the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), RIA Novosti reported.

Earlier it was reported that Ingenuity will make its first flight on April 8. However, NASA clarified that this will happen in a few days, but the agency did not disclose the reasons for the cancellation.

If the helicopter's flight, which will be about three meters high, is successful, it will take place at a height of about 5 meters in the future. NASA said it would be the spacecraft's "first transmitter and guided flight" to another planet.
