Joint cooperation of Azerbaijani and Moldovan historians was discussed

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Moldova Gudsi Osmanov met online with the President of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Academician Professor Ion Tigineanu.

 

 During the meeting, I. Tigineanu gave detailed information about the activities of the National Academy of Sciences during the pandemic, said that despite the difficulties caused by coronavirus infection, cooperation with various countries continues. Science Week ”will be held (in online format) and invited the Azerbaijani side to take part in the events.

 

Ambassador Osmanov spoke about the wide-ranging cooperation between the two countries, the relations in the fields of culture and science, and the importance of the cooperation agreement between the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan and the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.

 

 

Emphasizing the importance of further development of cooperation, the ambassador stressed the importance of research and cooperation in this field, taking into account the common history we have lived for many years, and initiated the signing of an agreement on cooperation between historical institutes of the two countries.

 

 

Professor G. Kojokaru, Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences, supported the initiative to sign a cooperation agreement with his Azerbaijani counterparts, which will benefit both organizations, and expressed confidence that Moldovan researchers will be of special interest in studying Azerbaijan's historical past.

 

 

The meeting discussed the potential of researchers in both countries, opportunities for mutual exchange of experience, the establishment of research groups to participate in joint projects, as well as participation in international scientific forums and other issues of interest.
