Patients infected with the Indian strain of COVID-19 experienced four new symptoms.

The statement came from Abdullah Gafur, an infectious disease specialist from Chennai, India, foreign media reported.

According to him, those infected with the delta variant of SARS-CoV-2 often complain of diarrhea. Gafur noted that during the first wave of the pandemic, similar symptoms were less common.

In addition, patients with the Indian strain are more likely to develop thrombi, which can lead to gangrene. Symptoms also include hearing loss and severe stomach upset.

The Delta version has been distributed in more than 60 countries in the last six months. It is noted that this strain is infected 60% faster than the previous dominant species - the British strain.
