The press conference of the country's first web programming competition based on WorldSkills standards was held

On July 12, a press conference was held on the country-wide web programming competition organized by the WorldSkills Azerbaijan platform.

 

Parviz Yusifov, director of the State Agency for Vocational Education and also an official representative of the WorldSkills Azerbaijan platform, briefed the media on the web programming competition and the WorldSkills movement in general. He noted that in recent years, innovations have been applied in all areas of education in the field of web technologies in our country, and the main goal of the competition is to support the development of youth in this area. During the press conference, it was also stated that starting from the next academic year, teaching in 3 specialties will be applied in accordance with WorldSkills standards.

      

It should be noted that the "Final" stage of the web programming competition also started today. Young people who showed high results in the preliminary round of the competition among young people under 21 had the opportunity to participate in the "Final" stage. In the "Final" stage, which consists of 3 modules, the contestants perform practical tasks on "design", "front-end" and "back-end" modules. The competition is held taking into account the requirements of the special quarantine regime applied in our country due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The temperature of each participant entering the competition hall is measured, and participants are also provided with medical masks.

      

The web programming competition was held in partnership with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State Agency for Vocational Education, sponsored by ATL Tech, ATL Academy, AzEduNet and the Baku State Vocational Training Center for Industry and Innovation. is the first race. Thus, the test task and evaluation criteria of the competition were determined on the basis of WorldSkills professional standards. The winners of the web programming competition will have the opportunity to participate in the world's most prestigious skills Olympiad and represent Azerbaijan at the international level.
