An online meeting of the Joint Election Commission of ANAS and MU was held in order to select candidates within the competition announced for 2021 on the joint doctoral program of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and the University of Montpellier (MU) of France.

 

According to ANAS, the meeting was attended by the chairman of the commission of the University of Montpellier - Vice President for International Relations, Professor Patrick Karon, members - Director of the Doctoral Organization in Biology (CBS2), Professor Sofia Cossida and a member of the organization, Professor Fabrice Ango, Montpellier. Selin Delacourt-Gollain, Director of the International Relations Department of the University, represented.

 

Candidates who successfully passed the preliminary selection stages on the topics submitted to the joint doctoral program made a presentation to the Joint Election Commission and answered the questions of the commission members.

 

In order to exchange views, ANAS and Montpellier University held a separate discussion of the commission members. The parties met again, presented their decisions and reached a common conclusion on the basis of discussions. The relevant document was signed by the members of the commission.

 

Selected candidates have the right to be awarded doctoral degrees by both Azerbaijan and France after completing two years of study at the University of Montpellier and one year at ANAS.

 

The meeting was attended by the chairman of the commission - vice-president of ANAS, academician Ibrahim Guliyev, members - vice-president of ANAS, academician Irada Huseynova, head of the scientific-organizational department of the Presidium of ANAS Rustam Rustamov and head of the department of international scientific cooperation Esmira Alirzayeva. hit.

 

It should be noted that since 2018, 5 doctoral students continue their education under this program.
