At the online meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Information Technologies of ANAS, the sectors of scientific research, anti-plagiarism and DOI services and electronic library services were discussed.

Scientific Secretary Madina Saidova noted the activities of the Department of Scientific Information and Science. He noted that the evaluation of journals, the issues of representation of scientific journals in international academic databases, the provision of consulting services to employees on the detection of "predatory" and "stolen" journals, the organization of training courses for masters and doctoral students, preparation of textbooks, etc. are the main activities of the scientific research sector.

The anti-plagiarism and DOI services sector will mainly organize and operate anti-plagiarism services.

Ms. Saidova also informed about the activities of the electronic library services sector.
Then the vice-president of ANAS, director of the institute, academician Rasim Alguliyev spoke on the issue. The academician said that one of the important directions of the institute's activity is to provide the employees of the institution with the necessary scientific information.

Emphasizing the importance of improving the activities of the department of scientific information and elmmetry in accordance with modern requirements, strengthening the staff capacity of the department, the director of the institute called on officials to support the solution of problems related to this structural unit.
