The opening ceremony of the "UMBRELLA" program of student youth was held

With the support of the Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the organization of the Union of Student Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan (USYOA), the opening ceremony of the "UMBRELLA" program aimed at networking and uniting student clubs operating under different umbrellas was held on October 14.

The event, which took place at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports (ASAPCS), began with the sound of the national anthem and a minute of silence in memory of our martyrs who died for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in the Great Patriotic War.

The event continued with speeches by Faig Mammadov, Head of the Department for Work with Youth Organizations of the Youth Foundation, Fatma Mammadova, Head of the Legal Support and Personnel Department of the ASYOU, and Parviz Miralamli, Chairman of the ASYOU. In their speeches, they stressed that we live in an important historical period against the background of the victory in the Great Patriotic War under the leadership of Muzaffar Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev and the glory of our glorious army. and shared their thoughts on their contributions to students in the coming months. The speakers stressed that student clubs play an exceptional role in bringing students together on the basis of common interests. During the presentations, ASYOU also showed a number of graphic videos reflecting the activities of the Union to the participants of the event.

Ordukhan Gahramanzadeh, head of the ASYOU member organizations and student clubs sector, spoke about the program's contribution to the state youth policy.

The head of the program Ulvi Guluzadeh presented the project to the participants of the event, which will be implemented in order to ensure inter-club coordination activities by uniting student clubs operating in different areas within the Student Youth Organizations of higher and secondary special education institutions in the country. During his speech, he spoke about the mission and goals of the program, gave detailed information about the action plan and intensity, as well as the "UMB" networks.

Hojjatova Aydan, Deputy Chairman of ASYOU, Chairman of the Baku Branch of the First Moscow State Medical University named after IM Sechenov, who took part in the event, shared her views on “UMBRELLA”:

"I believe that the program will really support the coordinated and larger-scale activities of student clubs. I think that networking will make an invaluable contribution to both the number of clubs in educational institutions and the quality of their activities.

The program will be implemented throughout Azerbaijan in the coming years.
